Palate 👅: Toffee. Plum. Burnt brown sugar. Vanilla custard. Barrel char. Rye spice.  Initial thin mouthfeel… then suddenly thick

Finish 🏁: Cloves. Toffee. Espresso. Vanilla custard.  Oak. Rye spice. Medium-long in length. Extremely bold finish.

Hard Truth made waves early with their rye… and now it’s time for bourbon!

I’m fascinated that this bourbon initially feels thin when it hits my tongue… and then two seconds later, it explodes into a bold and thick finish.  I’m not sure I’ve ever quite experienced this particular sensation.  It’s quite enjoyable.

If you didn’t have the bottle specs, you’d never dream this had 2 year old bourbon in it.

At MSRP of $40… this is a delicious neat sipper that’ll also make some excellent cocktails.
